A versatile singer/songwriter based in Brooklyn, Will Taylor crafts atmospheric/narrative-driven indie folk with harmonies aplenty. Born amidst the cow pastures of rural North Carolina and raised in the theater (Taylor had a successful stint on Broadway), Will Taylor tells a story rooted in images of nature and personal history, with a constant pull towards fantasy. His tales are at once hypnotic and provocative, with a blend of steady guitar picking, sonic caressing and an expressive, buttery voice that evokes James Taylor, Chris Isaak, and Sufjan Stevens. A gentle soul, unafraid of exploring deep emotion through his music, Will Taylor is on a quest for mystery and meaning, for beauty and stark nothingness, rare orchids and sharp blades of summer grass.
Will is known for being central to an episode of "The Good Wife," with a video of Will dressed in gold lame, singing the ridiculously catchy song, "Thicky Trick" playing throughout the episode. He sang back up for Kristin Chenoweth on a world concert tour, playing such venues as Sydney Opera House and Lincoln Center.
Taylor has performed solo or with his band in New York to full houses at Rock Wood Music Hall, Pete’s Candy Store, Dixon Place, and Green Room 42, and is currently preparing a plethora of music to be released in 2020.
